Mary Kane, passed away peacefully in her sleep on 27th February, at the age of 93. Mary leaves behind her children Kevin, Carolyn, David, Debbie, John Michael and Andrew, as well as lots of loving grandkids (including her first great grandchild) and many more dear family members in England, Ireland and beyond. From a difficult start in life, Mary made so much of herself and set such a great example to us all. We have so much to thank her for as she reunites with her husband, John, who passed away in 2020.
Mary Daly was born on July 18, 1931 - Cork, Ireland. Mary was brought up in Dublin with her two best friends, Mary Murphy and Mary Henry - the "3 Marys". Mary moved to England and eventually ended up in Norwich where she met John Kane, the love of her life. They were married in 1959, soon followed by the births of Kevin, Carolyn, David, Deborah, John Michael and Andrew.
Mary was the "mainstay" of the Kane household and managed to bring up 6 children while her husband was often away. He had to find building work, wherever it was available around the country.
May Mary rest in peace.
